One aspect of eliminating anxiety that is very important to discuss is nutrition.
While the mind and emotions play a part in feeling anxious, worried and stressed, anxiety is first and foremost an issue of physiology, an issue of the body. So, while you’ve learned some great techniques to teach the body and mind to eliminate unnecessary anxiety and stress, in this lesson you’re going to learn about how low blood sugar levels can create stress and anxiety, learn about how caffeine and alcohol can create anxiety, and learn about some dietary supplements and help reduce anxiety.
How you fuel your body has a great effect on your mood, on your emotions and the feeling state in your body.
Now I’m not a doctor, nutritionist, psychologist, or medical professional so this lesson is in no way here to diagnose or analyze your nutritional needs. I have a family member who is female, 82 years old, 4’11”, and about 120 pounds. I have another family member who is male, 21 years old, 6’4’, 250 pounds. They need totally different nutritional needs in their life. So again this lesson isn’t about telling you want to do in terms of diet but ideas to inspire you to do your own research and due diligence in what your nutritional needs are to reduce anxiety.
This is just some very basic information on nutrition and its effects on anxiety within the bodies of some people. So before making changes to your diet or before you add any supplements to your diet always discuss it first with your doctor or medical professional.
